Random Chat
For all of us devotees of Opera's Random Chat thread...Pop and and share with the group!

First let me say many thanks to Frenzie for providing us with this space to continue meeting and chatting with all of the old friends from Opera, and maybe make some new ones.

I get the feeling we're going gain a whole new appreciation for the Hebrews of old wandering the desert...hehehe...

I'm sure that's what I used to feed my Guinea pigs on when I was a child.
Those must've been happy Guinea pigs. :D Tasty and good source of protein.

If their breeding habits were anything to go by, I would say they were more than happy.
My parents thought that they had got me two male Guinea pigs. Oh boy were they wrong.  :D
The start and end to every story is the same. But what comes in between you have yourself to blame.

I can't really remember, it was nearly 50 years ago after all.  I would say at least a dozen in one litter and five or six in another. Then Daddy Guinea pig was taken off to the vet for a small operation.   :o

Did the Guinea pig had an accident? Did it survive the operation?

No accident, just went to the vet for a quick snip so he couldn't produce more babies. He was fine after it.

Oh okay.  Now I get it why you had that :yikes: icon on your post.  I know nothing about Guinea pigs, never thought they can produce so many babies :)

Yep! Dropbox killed off the use of public folders, thus making all links to them no longer work.

Sounds like no more 'Image hot- linking' allowed. I hope you're not paying a monthly or yearly premium membership to Dropbox?

No chance. It's not that important to me.

Pro users lose the function on September 1st, 2017 I believe.

I'm thinking about adding a new game thread titled 'Category word game'. The next poster posts a synonym or a word that he thinks can be in the same category. For instance, "sky > cloud". Cloud is not a synonym but can be considered the same category with sky. The game will look something like this:
Poster 1:
Pen.
Poster 2:
Pen > pencil.
House.
Poster 3:
House > hut.
Lake.

Do you think this game will work? Any comments?

Might work, you'll never know unless you try it.
It either gets interest or it doesn't, you've got nothing to lose.  :D

Just tastes of Lamb. If they were covered in breadcrumbs, fried then put on your plate, you would never know unless someone told you.  :D

I've never heard that said before.
I guess every country has some dish that they make, that you are probably better off not knowing exactly what is in it.  ;)

I like eyeballs, although I've never had sheep's.

Those people can't be French (or probably continental European in general). I'm fairly sure that the best parts are those that Americans act all weird about: tongue, udder, liver...

Eyeballs are where I drew the line. I'll try most things once, but I just couldn't force myself when it came to eyeballs.  :eyes:

Pour ketchup over them and they should go down just fine.

I doubt that ketchup would be enough to convince me.
