Today's Good News
Have you noticed that we usually debate only the bad things in life.

In this thread anyone can put down current news that they think is good (can be on any subject but not nasty, please, or so controversial that it provokes arguments). We can debate it and then move on when someone else posts some more happiness!

So I'll start with this gem, which will brings tears of joy to many, I am sure.

Chocolate is Good for you

Yes - it's official
Dark chocolate may be healthier

It's good for a cough and it's good for your heart.

If you want to learn Portuguese,
That's impossible, too much complex for them.
German is also impossible for us, too much boring.
A matter of attitude.

Venus and Jupiter conjunction: Sky-watchers await dawn display

Jupiter and Venus will be visible to the naked eye close together in the sky before dawn on Monday.

[...]

Jupiter's four Galilean moons will also be visible to those with a telescope. Clear skies are needed...

Dark skies it's what is needed. Stop light pollution, disable electricity by night.
Mankind can't see the stars anymore.
A matter of attitude.

Fields Medal Is Stolen Minutes After It's Given in Brazil
A 14-karat gold medal often described as the Nobel Prize for mathematics was stolen minutes after it was awarded to a Cambridge University professor at a ceremony in Brazil on Wednesday.

[...]

Within minutes of receiving the award, Dr. Birkar noticed that his briefcase containing the gold medal, his wallet and his cellphone was missing, the Brazilian newspaper O Globo reported.
It's good news that we hear something from Brazil

I was very pleased with Bernie Sanders win in New Hampshire. The DNC is making the same mistakes the RNC did with Herr Trumpenfuehrer, and Bernie being the nominee looms ever closer. Only potential challenge I see is that rotten bourgeoisie, Bloomberg with his billions to waste.

I discovered a nice thing, Grammarly (free version).
It's already working integrated in D&D. Now on I cheat and write like Shakespeare.  :)

Are you reading this rjhowie?  :irked:

I just have a doubt, do you want me to write in American English, British English, Canadian English or Australian English?

Of course, it will record people's conversation, another police system controlling us. I'll uninstall it soon.
A matter of attitude.

On good news a woman I know told me I was exceptional. Nice when a sensible woman knows the obvious.

I thought I should translate that text to Early Modern English, to make it truly Shakespearean, but forsooth! those translators are ridiculous.

I just have a doubt,

That's not really American English there, I'm guessing you chose one of the others then?

It'd be more like "My only doubt is,"

eh eh you're absolutely right ensbb3, it isn't American English and probably none of the other "something English".
I just wrote a literal translation from Portuguese way of speaking but using English words. The program didn't complain.

This moment, the programs indicates me to remove "absolutely" and to add "the" before Portuguese. I want the program to f****.

Anyway, I'm aware that many times I just translate Portuguese to English words without caring if the result is the correct way of speaking in English or not. The reason I don't care is because any other nationality speaks English even worst, the exception being for Frenzie and Ersi.

I've noticed and have no problems with it.

Please forgive me for having fun with this...
I want the program to f****.
Per your usual one might assume the proper translation (minus the extra "*") is: "I want to fuck the program". :)
Now I think you meant; "I want the program to fuck off". And I can agree, you did fine without it.
